Bill Description: If passed, this bill would prohibit trapping beaver, fox, otter, or muskrat “for sport” at pay-to-trap facilities.

It’s difficult enough to justify trapping because of its inherent cruelty. The animals suffer tremendously, and body-gripping traps are non-selective, thus, animals such as family dogs and cats and endangered species routinely are captured, maimed and/or killed in these devices. However, to set traps for the fun of it is cruelty beyond belief.
