Bill Description: If this bill passes, it will repeal the existing ban on body-gripping traps under the guise of addressing animals causing a problem.
[teaserbreak] Existing law provides an avenue for addressing human/wildlife conflicts. This legislation is a pretext for weakening existing law limiting the use of body-gripping traps. The voters already have spoken to this issue by enacting Initiative 713 and restricting the use of these cruel devices; the state Legislature needs to respect the will of the voters.
