Bill Description:
It amends the Environmental Conservation Law by stipulating that direct contact between the public and big cats is prohibited. Direct contact includes activities such as playing with a big cat or having a photograph taken with a big cat in the absence of a permanent physical barrier.[teaserbreak]
The penalty for a violation would be not more than $500 for the first offense, and not more than $1000 for a second and subsequent offenses.
