S.F. 666/H.F. 1163: Reinstating Moratorium on Wolf Hunting [2013-14]

Update (March, 2014): This bill failed to pass before the session ended, but was reintroduced in 2015 as S.F. 612.

Bill Description:
Establishes a moratorium on wolf hunting for a five-year period. After that time, the Department of Natural Resources Commissioner may prescribe open seasons and restrictions for taking wolves, but only if population management is deemed necessary and other means for controlling the wolf population are explored.[teaserbreak]
