A Win for the Whale

In 2014, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) announced that it was rejecting the Georgia Aquarium’s request to import 18 beluga whales from Russia. Born Free USA supports spoke out, and the whales are victorious. However, the Georgia Aquarium has presented arguments in federal court seeking to overturn NOAA’s decision. We will continue to pressure NOAA to protect these creatures from a lifetime of cruel captivity.
