South Africa’s rhino poaching figures drastically increased from 2007 to 2014. From 1980 to 2007, nine rhinos were poached per year in South Africa; in 2014, 1,215 rhinos were poached. A simple chart shows the catastrophic upsurge in rhino slaughter.
