São Paulo Approves Ban on Clothing Made with Animal Skin

The city council of São Paulo, Brazil approved a ban on the marketing and production of foie gras and clothing made with animal skins. Merchants caught breaking the law may be fined R$ 5,000, which would double for repeat offenders. The bill will now go to São Paulo’s mayor, Fernando Haddad, for final approval.
