Through December 31, people can donate their unwanted, real fur coats and accessories to Born Free USA. The organization will then distribute the donated fur items to wildlife rehabilitation centers across the U.S., where they will be used to provide warmth and “familiar comfort” to young, sick, and injured animals. Now in its second year, the drive has already received around 300 donations. “The vast majority of the donations were fur coats, either waist-length or full-length,” said Born Free USA program associate Jennifer Place.
