Florida Ends Hunt after Nearly 300 Bears Killed

On Saturday, Florida opened its first black bear hunt in more than two decades. On Sunday, at the end of the hunt’s second day, the number of bears killed was 298: close to the “statewide objective” of 320. It was then announced in a commission news release that this year’s hunt was “officially over.”
