Senators Stand Up for Wildlife

in Animal News

On November 5, 25 U.S. senators sent a letter to President Obama urging him to reject any dangerous final spending bill riders that undermine the integrity of the Endangered Species Act (ESA) or target federally-listed threatened and endangered species. This year alone, more than 80 legislative proposals have been introduced that degrade the ESA and block protections for imperiled species. Wildlife today face an unprecedented extinction crisis: one that is primarily human-driven. Thank you to these 25 senators for standing up for our wildlife and the bedrock law that protects them!
