A polar bear named Pizza, who is kept on display at China’s Grandview Mall, is being temporarily relocated while his enclosure is “upgraded”—but “the aquarium did not say exactly where Pizza was going, or when he would return.” At the mall, video footage shows Pizza pacing, rearing up on the side of his glass enclosure farthest from visitors, shaking his head from side to side, and sniffing and pawing at an air vent: distress behaviors, according to animal advocates.
