Born Free USA joined other wildlife advocacy organizations in a letter opposing H.R. 6784, the “Manage Our Wolves Act.” This harmful bill would strip federal Endangered Species Act protections from gray wolves in the lower 48 states, thereby turning species management for gray wolves over to individual states, many of which are hostile to wolves and other animals. While gray wolf populations have rebounded thanks to ESA protections, Born Free USA maintains that the species is far from fully recovered and still requires federal protection.
