Summary:
Jamili, a 9-year-old female giraffe, was found unresponsive in her behind-the-scenes living quarters. The death was blamed on an accident involving a piece of equipment intended for enrichment. Zookeepers reported that Jamili became entangled in a “toy” made from a soft drink barrel.
