Summary:
Buster, the kangaroo who escaped a Staten Island home on October 17, 2015, was surrendered to Popcorn Park Zoo in New Jersey and died three days later.
The 18-month-old kangaroo was diagnosed with toxoplasmosis, an illness caused by a parasite. Experts also blamed his decline in health on stress stemming from his living conditions, which can make kangaroos susceptible to other diseases.
