As 2011 dawns everyone at Born Free USA is fully energized for a new year of helping the animals in need. Although 2010 was busy, exciting and challenging, we will not rest on our laurels. Not now, not ever.
[teaserbreak]
We will do all we can to build on our 2010 successes, to maintain momentum toward other victories, and to launch programs and campaigns that fulfill our mission:
- To end the suffering of wild animals in captivity.
- To rescue individual animals in need.
- To protect wildlife — including highly endangered species — in their natural habitats.
- To encourage compassionate conservation globally,
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for all you have done to partner with us in that mission.
But when I see the evidence of cruel traps, witness the unnatural confinement of magnificent animals in zoos, challenge the suffering of wild animals in circuses, and hear of the tragic lives endured by wild animals kept as “pets,” I know there is much work yet to be done. And I know that, with your help, Born Free USA can make things a whole lot better.
My New Year’s resolution? Make 2011 the best it can be for animals and for us all! Will you join me?
Blogging off — and Happy New Year!
