Born Free USA’s Executive Vice President, Adam Roberts, attended the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s November 14 ivory crush near Denver. Roberts laments, “It’s really a tragedy to think that a majestic African Elephant could be relegated to nothing more than piano keys or jewelry around one’s neck. But that’s still happening today. We have to send a clear message to poachers and smugglers around the world that ivory is not meant for the marketplace.”
