Washington, D.C. — Sticky Fingers, the premiere vegan bakery in Washington D.C. and two-time “Cupcake Wars” winner, has created two special wildlife cupcake designs – a lion and a monkey – to support Born Free USA, a leader in animal welfare and wildlife conservation, in conjunction with World Wildlife Day on Monday, March 3, 2014. According to Adam Roberts, CEO of Born Free USA, “I have been a fan and regular customer of Doron Petersan’s bakery Sticky Fingers for years, and am delighted that she has agreed to draw attention to our mission to keep wildlife in the wild. The special wildlife themed cupcakes are beautiful – and tasty – and we are grateful that she is helping to raise money for our work. Doron made my wedding cake 12 years ago, and I’m delighted she’s making wildlife-themed cupcakes for Born Free USA now.”

The World Wildlife Day Born Free USA cupcakes will be sold Friday, February 28 through Monday, March 3 at the Sticky Fingers shop (1370 Park Rd NW, Washington, D.C. 20010). The cupcakes are $4.00 each with $1.00 of each cupcake going to Born Free USA.

Doron Petersan, owner of Sticky Fingers, said, “We are thrilled to be able to call attention to the good and important work of an organization like Born Free USA, and we deeply support their mission to protect wildlife.”

In addition to in-store sales, Sticky Fingers and Born Free USA are encouraging companies and individuals to pre-order large amounts in honor of World Wildlife Day. The bakery will deliver anywhere in the area for a $10.00 delivery charge. For more information and orders, call (202) 299-9700.
