Bill Description:
Would increase the penalties for animal neglect and animal torture.[teaserbreak]
Background:
Increased penalties would provide increased deterrents, better tools for county attorneys to use when charging cases, and bring animal abuse penalties in Iowa more in line with neighboring states. The bills were supported by the Iowa County Attorneys Association.
