Roberts explains, “Especially with lions, you do find that a vast majority are [killed by] American hunters. Our research at Born Free has shown that you’re looking at about an average of 560 lions being killed every year in Africa as trophies, and roughly 62% of those trophies are being killed by American trophy hunters and imported back into the U.S.”
