Florida Black Bear Hunt to Start Next Saturday

A Tallahassee, Florida judge ruled this month that a Florida black bear hunt will begin on October 24: the first time the bears have been allowed to be hunted in 21 years. The bear hunt has angered environmentalists and even some hunters, who call it premature and an ineffective way to deal with the “nuisance” that some bears pose in the suburbs.
