In an on-air interview with CCTV this week, Adam M. Roberts, CEO of Born Free USA and Born Free Foundation, discusses the ivory trade: “The clear message has to be a uniform, global prohibition on the commercialization of elephant ivory, and rhino horn, and other wildlife products…because that will lead to the markets for these products drying up. And, if the markets dry up, and the value of the ivory drops, people are going to stop poaching because it won’t be profitable anymore.”
