Girl Scouts Team Up with Born Free USA

in Animal News

Born Free USA Program Associate, Jennifer Place, met with a Maryland Girl Scout troop to aid Born Free USA’s Fur for the Animals campaign. “Donate fur to us, and we will give them to wildlife rehabilitation centers to comfort injured and orphaned wildlife,” Place explained. Eight members of Troop 5051 cut, sewed, and crafted the donated furs and turned them into usable, cuddly items that orphaned baby wildlife can now use. Over the next few months, Born Free USA will ship these altered fur coats and accessories to wildlife rehabilitation centers and sanctuaries around the country.
