Trapping in Grand Island, New York

Grand Island, New York residents got the chance to weigh in on whether sport trapping should be allowed on town-owned land during a public hearing yesterday. The Grand Island trapping issue surfaced in October, when Nicole Gerber and Dave Reilly found leghold coyote traps on public land three feet from their posted property and next to paths where they walk their dogs. Born Free USA has been strategizing with Gerber and Reilly to ban these traps.
