Federal Legislation a Threat to Wolves and Wilderness

On February 26, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the devastating SHARE Act (H.R. 2406) by a vote of 242-161. Among other things, this bill prohibits the study of toxic lead ammunition, prohibits the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service from tightening ivory regulations, and removes Endangered Species Act protections from the imperiled gray wolf in Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
