S.B. 1062, a bill that would prohibit the use of bullhooks or other sharp devices designed to inflict pain for the purpose of training or controlling elephants, will receive a hearing before the California Assembly Committee on Arts, Entertainment, Sports, Tourism and Internet Media next Tuesday, June 21. It’s vital that we outnumber the opposition and show the committee that this bill reflects the compassionate values of California citizens, so please come out to the Capitol next Tuesday and speak out on behalf of elephants!
