Mike VI, the live tiger mascot at Louisiana State University (LSU), has passed away from cancer. Unfortunately, “LSU has begun the search for a young, male tiger,” the university said. “As with Mikes IV, V, and VI, LSU will seek to obtain a donated tiger from a rescue facility.” Born Free USA believes that live animals should not be used as props or subjected to the stress of captivity.
