A visitor at SeaWorld Orlando captured video of an 8-month old baby sea lion escape from its enclosure and outrun zookeepers trying to capture it. The sea lion was eventually caught and returned to its enclosure.

A man broke into a home, smashed a television, tore up a pool table, destroyed a microwave, slashed car tires and let the resident’s pet snake loose as retaliation for an assault. The man has been charged.

Passerbys captured a loose monkey running in a neighborhood on their cell phone video. Police and FL Fish and Wildlife Conservation officers responded but could not capture the primate.

A 7-foot alligator has been confiscated and its owner faces animal cruelty charges after it was found caged in a plastic box in an Ohio basement. Vets stated that the alligator was severely undernourished, has damaged teeth and bone disease from lack of sunlight after being kept away for 15 years. The reptile was weakened and missing several teeth. The owner of the animal also allowed teenagers to harrass it on a regular basis.

A 4-foot python that disappeared from a Grand Rapids’ familys car while they were eating dinner at KFC was found under the dashboard of the car. The family had feared it had escaped from an open window.

A 6-year old boy was bitten on his forearm by a pet primate when the boy tried to pet the primate’s companion dog at a dog event. The owner of the two animals stated that the primate was possessive over the dog. The boy was treated at a hospital and released. Animal control officials are investigating the matter.

Law enforcement officers captured a kangaroo that had been on the run for several hours. The owners of the kangaroo have not been located.

A man looking for recyclables in a trash can found a three-and-a-half foot long ball python, which appeared to have been dumped there. The snake was in good shape and was taken by animal care services.

Sheriff’s deputies found dogs, cats, rabbits, a snake and a lizard abandoned in a home. Authorities believe the emaciated animals had been abandoned for at least a week before being discovered.

According to a citation from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, zookeepers provide veterinary care to a tiger (Toni) that was limping on his left front leg.
