Three snake experts believe that a huge snake is on the loose in Melbourne, FL judging by the tracks left. It is believed that the snake is a former pet that either escaped or was dumped.

Animal control authorities and sheriff’s officers seized 2 alligators, 3 turtles and 4 dogs, all in poor condition, from a residence. 2 alligators were also found dead. The seizure originated from a domestic violence temporary restraining order.

NYC Police found a 3-year old female wolf-hybrid wearing a collar and chain roaming the streets of Brooklyn. It appears that the animal was kept as a pet illegally.

More than 100 animals, many of them illegal wildlife, were found living in bad conditions in a house in Heiskell. Among the animals found were a lynx in a cage in the backyard, a large monkey kept in a bird cage in the living room, multiple venomous reptiles, dogs, cats and numerous non-venomous snakes. The residence is being condemned and the owner is expected to face charges.

Jeremy Loveland was arrested for the second time this year, accused of keeping dangerous animals in his home. Police and animal control confiscated 23 snakes, 2 alligators, a baby hedgehog, spiders, lizards and scorpions. They were tranported to animal control in West Milwaukee. This same man was bitten by his venomous snake and taken to the hospital in critical condition in April.

A Humane Society officer impounded a blood python that was emaciated and living in an unsanitary enclosure.

A capuchin monkey was sold to a police informant as part of a drug deal. The monkey was taken to the Jessamine County Primate Rescue Center.

Five boa constrictors and two lizards were turned over under Hawaii’s illegal animal amnesty program.

A large feline was sighted by several people in a small Eastern Ohio town. It has not been confirmed whether or not the feline spotted was a mountain lion or an escaped African lion.

A 6-7 ft long Burmese python was found dead at a rental house while police were there trying to serve an eviction notice.
