July 28, 2010 Mendon, MA A 36-year old Asian elephant named Dondi died at Southwick’s Zoo in Mendon. She was used for performances and rides. July 26, 2010 Seminole, FL A pet muntjac, a small barking deer native to Southeast Asia, escaped during a thunderstorm. This was the second escape for this deer.
