September 10, 2015 Fort Worth, TX An elephant calf injured a zookeeper in September, and emergency responders and the Fort Worth Zoo offered two different versions of what happened. Fort Worth Fire Department reports say a 37-year-old female zookeeper suffered a “puncture wound from an animal,” and ambulance records show the victim was taken to a hospital with “serious injuries.” A zoo spokeswoman said she believes the worker suffered a relatively minor bump to the head. September 8, 2015 San Jacinto, CA A sick, declawed tiger cub was reportedly found wandering the streets of San Jacinto and was brought to animal care by a woman who claims she found him.
