Summary:
Gebbe, a pigtailed macaque, might not be returned to its owner after escaping from its Reno home and injuring four people last month, according to Washoe County Regional Animal Services documents obtained by the Reno Gazette Journal. This was the monkey’s second escape. In 2015, animal services responded to a call of a monkey in the neighborhood. Photos taken at the time show Gebbe sitting on the roof of a house. Brenda O’Mealia, the victims’ attorney, said Gebbe also bit two other children in the neighborhood apart from the four mentioned above.
