Summary:
An eagle eas found dead on a hiking trail. The bird had previously been found in a leghold trap in late 11/86, rehabilitated, and released. When found dead the bird’s body was in fair to poor condition. One foot was swollen and the flexor tendon was necrotic. The right foot was bumble foot. The bird’s middle toe of left foot had been amputated after trapping incident.
